This guide will show you how to purchase/add an additional dynamic pool / campaign.
Dynamic tracking works by using a 'pool' of numbers – essentially a set of phone numbers that are assigned to you – which then dynamically change when a user enters a page on your website. By replacing the regular phone number on your site with a dynamic pool from Mediahawk, you can track the user's journey.
Dynamic campaign = the URL
* you will need a new dynamic campaign for a new URL
Dynamic pool = the individual range(s) of numbers per prefix (area code)
* You can add as many different pools as needed. e.g. 1 pool to track the whole site or multiple pools to track new enquiries line, sales line and support line separately.
Depending on your access, you can add/purchase additional static numbers in the portal.
The access needed is Account Owner or an Administrator with "Can Purchase" enabled. - see our User Administration guide
To create a new static number, go to My Subscription and click the plus icon in the dynamic URLs box.
This will also show you how many dynamic pools are available vs in use so you can see if there would be any additional subscription charges for adding another number.

Then select if you need a new dynamic URL (campaign) or a new pool.

URL = your website address that you want to track
All bots filter = controls whether hits on your website by Google bots are filtered out from reports
Pool name = the group of numbers that is actively displayed to visitors on your website.
Number international code = the country code of your numbers
Number prefix = the area code you require your number to be for e.g. 01234, 02, 03, 08 etc
Number format = the way your phone number is shown on your website
International format = the country prefix format when displayed on your website
Format preview = this is how numbers will appear on your website
Service plan = the number's routing details such as which phone number we should route to.
Call recording = record the audio of the call to listen back to later
Mid call divert = allows the agent to divert a call to another phone number at the press of a button
Numbers to replace = by adding a number to replace, our dynamic code will scan the whole page for these numbers and replace them accordingly on load. This is optional, and is an addition to the Mediahawk span tags,
You can then toggle Advanced settings on to add more details
Intro audio = audio played to the caller before the call connects to the agent
Whisper audio = audio played to the agent before the caller is connected
Post URL = trigger a web request when a call happens to this address
Post call agent attribution plan = Allows the agent to save a category or value at the end of the call. These are visible on various call reports.
Mid-call agent attribution = allows the agent to put a call on hold to save a category or value while on the call. These are visible on various call reports.
Once you are happy with the campaign (including 1 pool), click save and you should then see a pop up confirming the price per month based on your account for the static number, the cost per call charges as well as a link to see the different call charges - I have included our UK Inbound Call Charges here
If you are happy with the prices and wish to continue to purchase the number, please do read the Mediahawk standard terms and conditions of use and tick to confirm these are accepted. You should then be able to save to proceed.
If you need to add an additional pool to an existing dynamic campaign follow the same steps as above but select pool instead of dynamic URL. This will then show the existing dynamic URLs live on the account in a drop down for you too select the URL needed.
Click add and this will then take you to the dynamic pool page above to be followed.
