This guide will show you how to purchase/add an additional static number
A "static number" is a single, fixed phone number used for call tracking, typically for offline marketing activities or third-party websites
Depending on your access, you can add/purchase additional static numbers in the portal.
The access needed is Account Owner or an Administrator with "Can Purchase" enabled. - see our User Administration guide
To create a new static number, go to My Subscription and click the plus icon in the Static numbers box.
This will also show you how many static numbers are available vs in use so you can see if there would be any additional subscription charges for adding another number.
You should then see a pop up to create the number
Campaign = where the number is assigned. e.g. Location, group or brand
Media description = where the number will be advertised. e.g. Email marketing, leaflet or Google Ad Extension etc.
Channel = the type of advertising. e.g. direct mail, social mail or local press.
Media owner = the place the number is advertised. e.g. Facebook, Google Business Profile, Google Ad Extension or your own website.
Department = the area of the business or location the marketing is for. e.g. Sales, Support or Marketing.
Number prefix = the area code you require your number to be for. e.g. 01234, 02, 03 or 08
Service plan = the number's routing details such as which phone number we should route to.
Call recording = enabling this allows you to record the audio of the call to listen back to later.
Once you are happy with the number, click save and you should then see a pop up confirming the price per month based on your account for the static number, the cost per call charges as well as a link to see the different call charges - I have included our UK Inbound Call Charges here
If you are happy with the prices and wish to continue to purchase the number, please do read the Mediahawk standard terms and conditions of use and tick to confirm these are accepted. You should then be able to save to proceed.
Once saved, you should see a confirmation pop up that the number has now been successfully added.
