This article describes how to connect one service number using a simple routing plan connecting to one single destination number, with no queue and no attribution. 



 Your login needs to be set up as Administrator with Read & Write permissions to allow you to connect your numbers.  

 

Access the Connect Menu

Click Admin then select Call Routing


This will display a table of all inbound numbers 

Select the service number to connect by clicking the number itself then click Connect



For a single number, you may enter the destination number if you know it by pressing the + and click Connect on the right hand-side.



Or select more than one numbers by ticking the radio button then click Connect



The Call Routing window opens and shows the number(s) selected, a destination number, and Recording  (tick to enable call recording), You can manually type in the destination number here or press Advanced for more routing options.



Once in Call Routing Advanced screen, you can update the service plan from either the drop down menu, add a new destination number using the + icon and edit existing settings.



3 main icons are available throughout the routing settings:


The drop-down: access existing settings

The Plus sign icon: create new settings

The Pencil icon: edit existing settings


To route to an existing plan

Access the drop-down next to the plan assigned to browse the list of available plans.

Select the new plan and click Connect

Once done, you will be back to the table of the inbound numbers on your account and should obtain the message: Success! The numbers will be provisioned shortly.



To create a new plan with a new destination number

Click the Plus icon 

Select All the same from the template

Give a name to the plan 

Click the Plus icon to add the new destination plan and give it a name

Click the Plus icon to add the new destination number 

Insert a description for the destination.

Click Save to save the destination number

Back in the Destination plan window, set a Ring length in seconds (min 10 and max 60)

Click Save at each step then click Connect

Top tips: use the same names for the service plan and the destination plan

If you have many destination numbers, be very specific when naming your settings. 

Copy and paste the destination number(s) itself in your service & destination plans

For example: London Sales - 01234 56789, London Accounts - 020 345640, London Support - 020 3444738

Once done, you will be back to the table of the inbound static numbers on your account and should obtain the message: Success! The numbers will be provisioned shortly.


To amend an existing plan

Click the pencil icon next to the Service Plan

The following window will appear, advising that other numbers also connect to this plan, so any amendment will be made for these other numbers too unless you save as New at the end.


To view which numbers would be affected, click the bold word “here”, you will obtain the list of numbers associated with the plan you are about to amend. Review this and once done, click the at the top of the pop up.


When back to the Edit Service Plan window, carry on with editing the plan. 

You can access saved destination plans by clicking the drop-down.

 

You can edit the existing destination number belonging to this destination plan by clicking the pencil Icon


Select the new destination number it should connect to

Click the drop-down arrow to access your saved destination numbers 

or click the Plus icon to add a brand-new destination

Click Update to amend the existing destination plan: this would change the destination for all numbers as per the Warning window

Or Click Save as new to only route the selected number

Enter a new description for the plan as the Description field must contain a unique value.
