Note: This integration is in beta. As Google Analytics 4 is still being developed by Google features may change. Limited support is available.
How do I set up the integration in Mediahawk
Login in to the Mediahawk Platform https://www.reports.mediahawk.co.uk
Select Admin
You will then see all the integrations available to you on the landing page.
You now have the choice to automatically (recommended) or manually setup your Google Analytics Integration.
Automatic setup
Click connect
You will then be prompted to login to your Google Analytics account. Please make sure you are logged out of any other GA account to ensure you are integrating the correct one. (Please note: you will be requested to login to your existing UA account as GA4 connector is in ALPHA)
Once you have input your email and password, select Allow
Once signed in you will be presented with the screen below asking you how you would like to send the data to Google Analytics, as an Event or a Virtual Page. (When setting up GA4 always select an event)
And which Google Account you would like to connect Mediahawk to.
Once selected, click connect
This will then link Mediahawk with your Google Analytics account automatically for both your static and dynamic numbers as an event to GA4 (Please note: GA does not support Goal conversions).
You will now need to change the Google Analytics type we send data to (You can setup 2 separate integrations. UA and GA4 if required)
Existing Google Analytics integrations - adding GA4.
Click Configure to amend the existing settings
Then the plus icon (+)
In advanced settings - Select Google Analytics 4 from the Analytics Version
You then need to enter the following:
- A description - Example is GA4 Setup
- Measurement ID - G-
- API Secret - acbdefXXXXX
- Number selection - in this example we are sending through Dynamic calls only.
You then need to select the event name and event data you would like to send, in this example we have called it Mediahawk_dynamic_calls (Please note: there cannot be any special characters or spaces in the name)
You can then select the event parameters you would like to send into analytics and the value Mediahawk will send across,
Click Save
