Why would you look to remove the code?
There are many reasons you may want to remove your dynamic code from the site. Some examples are:
- Have a new URL and need to remove the code from the historic site?
- Cancelling your services / account with Mediahawk?
What happens when a dynamic pool is removed?
If a pool is removed, the code will no longer fire meaning we will not track any visitors or calls to your site.
All of the historic data related to the pool including visitor and call data is removed - please make sure you export any data needed prior to the removal date
Any calls made to a Mediahawk dynamic number that was part of the dynamic pool will no longer connect to your lines as the numbers are disconnected and removed from your account.
Changing URLs?
If you need to amend from tracking 1 URL to another you do not need to remove the dynamic from your account. We can amend the URL the code relates to and retain the existing dynamic pool and data.
You will need to remove the code from the historic site and ensure this is applied to the new site. These can be live at the same time for a swap over period (usually 30 days).
Cancelling your services / account with Mediahawk?
Whilst we hope this is not the case, we understand cancellations are required from time to time.
From the cancellation request we will let you know the cancellation date that the numbers will be disconnected & removed on.
Prior to the cancellation date we recommend you remove the code from your site to ensure that your visitors are not noting down Mediahawk numbers to call at a later stage as after the cancellation date, the callers will not be able to get through to you.
* If you do want to cancel and re-sign up at a later stage, the historic data cannot be retrieved so this would be a brand new account with new numbers and data *
