Multi-factor authentication (MFA), helps to keep cyber criminals out of your accounts, even if they know your passwords. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) recommends you set up MFA verification on all your important accounts, even for accounts that you've protected with strong passwords.

Mediahawks MFA allows you to enforce MFA on your Mediahawk accounts. It will verify the Identity of an account holder using two methods: you have the choice of receiving a PIN via email or an authentication app of your choice.

If you would like to enable MFA on your account, please contact our Client Services team on 0333 222 833, or clientservices@mediahawk.co.uk

Once enabled on your account, your users will receive the prompt below to setup MFA on their next login.

How to setup MFA

Select the best authentication method that works for you.

Using the email authentication method

Select the 'Email' radio button.

You will automatically receive an email with the verification PIN (example below)

Input the PIN, select Remember device  and click Verify.

This will now log you in to the reporting platform.

Using the authentication app method

If you do not currently use an authentication app, you will need to download one. We've provided QR codes below for you to download Microsoft and Google versions.

Select the authenticator app radio button.

This will display a QR code, which you can scan with any authentication app you choose. (We've provided this as an example, please do not use this)

This will open in the desired authenticator app and show you a PIN.

Input the PIN, select Remember device  and click Verify.

This will now log you in to the reporting platform.

MFA management

You can change authentication method or revoke remembered devices within the reporting portal

Select My account /  Account setting
