Mediahawk allows you to apply Step 2 of the Dynamic Code in 3 different ways to your website.

Option 1. Automatic number "find and replace"

Option 2. Apply the dynamic code directly to your website HTML.

Option 3. Using a Wordpress plugin.

Please ensure you have installed Step 1 of the Mediahawk Dynamic Code before proceeding with Step 2

Important Information:

Please ensure you are fully conversant with applying the code to your website, through Wordpress

These guides are recommended installations but your installation may differ dependent on your own configuration. If you are not sure please advise your web agency or developer of the requirement.

Please check that the code is fully working before publishing.

Applying STEP 2 of the Dynamic Code using  "Find and Replace"

Login in to the Mediahawk Platform

Select Admin

Click Dynamic then URLs

Then select the Campaign Name you want to change the numbers for.

If you have multiple number pools, each will be listed here. Select the pool you would like to manage (In the example below it is called Main Office)

Enter the number(s) you would like us to find and replace on your website into the Numbers to replace section (in this example it is 03332228333)

By adding a number to replace, our Dynamic code will scan every website page for these numbers and replace them when the page loads.

For Instance in our example. Original number 03332228333 will be automatically replaced with the 08 prefix selected for the dynamic campaign.

Applying STEP 2 of the Dynamic Code direct to the Website HTML code.

Step 2 Generates the span class names you need to use for each pool and changes the number in the <span>

In order for your existing number to change you must apply Step 2 of the Dynamic code to all numbers you would like to change.

An EXAMPLE of the code is below for information. The “mediahawkNumber1” is unique per installation.

Your Telephone Number is the existing one you would like to change.

Apply this code for the pool 'A Marketing Company'

If you are applying to a Desktop site use this code

<span class="mediahawkNumber1">Your Telephone Number</span>

If you are applying the code to a Mobile enabled site (or not sure, use this one)

<span class="mediahawkNumber1 mhMobile">Your Telephone Number</span

- Don't apply any formatting within the element that is being changed. Apply formatting to an outer <div> or <span> for example instead.

- The elements you apply the generated class names to can be either a <div> or a <span>

- Applying mhMobile allows the telephone number to be clickable.

Applying STEP 2 of the Dynamic Code using Pages or Post in Wordpress.

In order for your existing number to change you must apply Step 2 of the Dynamic code to all numbers you would like to change.

If you are using Pages or Post to store your Telephone numbers then you can use these pages to Span the number using [mediahawk_number number=” Your Telephone Number” class=”MediahawkNumberClass]

Please ensure you fully test the changes and Website to ensure step 1 and step 2 are changing the numbers across your pages as expected.
